Workforce Central Dunedin are excited to be finalists in the Site Safe Awards 2026! The winner of the Safety Innovation award, for which we are a finalist, will be announced in March 2026. To be recognised in the top three nationally for Safety Innovation is a huge honour, and we are very grateful to all those who collaborated with us to make this possible.

A special shoutout to Fi McKay, the amazing consultant who we worked with to co-design the Cultural Competency training that is the subject of this Site Safe award. The Cultural Competency training has had positive impacts on health and safety behaviours on site and Fi’s powerful delivery, insights and positivity are massive factors of the programme's success.

Workforce Central Dunedin would also like to acknowledge Southbase Construction, the main contractor on site. Their support of this initiative and willingness to engage is what allowed the programme to make such a positive impact.
