I'm originally from Wollongong,Australia, but New Zealand has been home for nearly 20 years. I can help with not only raising the awareness of what suicide is doing not only in NZ but in construction as a whole, all while bringing a friendly and approachable attitude to the conversation. Suicide is no stranger in my life. I have experienced suicide from a young age with not only the loss of friends and family, but my own personal battles. Unfortunately, lived experience is the best experience. My job allows me to go and talk to people about a topic I am very passionate about, while also not straying too far away from when I was in the trades as well. Outside of the office, my main two hobbies would have to be fishing and golf. To sum up my skills around these two hobbies would be... Fishing - “they don’t call me a master angler for my math skills” and Golf - “All the gear and no idea”. As for family, all of my relatives moved back to the main land 10 years ago so it’s mostly Facetime catch ups with them and the occasional holiday.
